SO Darn Cute

I was sitting right outside the kindergarten door yesterday morning when all of the sudden I heard this! Talk about make my heart smile! This is was one of my favorite parts about having my kids attend here!  I loved watching the respect they had for the flag as it was in front of them. I loved seeing the excitement when miss Melanie told them it was time so stand and say the pledge. But my favorite part was the answers they gave when I asked them why they think we should say the pledge of allegiance everyday.

Taviyon: Because we are thankful for the flag!

Autumn: Because it is the United States of America

Ryker: Because we like it!

Jaylee: Because we are thankful and we are dang cool! ( my fav)

Jack: It helps us to feel good about our country!

I personally never thought about why we say the pledge of allegiance. I grew up saying it everyday through Jr. High and every Monday through high school. It was just what we did and I loved it! I'm so grateful that my kids get to go to a school where they still value the importance of the pledge of allegiance! Hope this video of these cute little kiddies makes you happy!

SANTA!!!

I don't know about you guys but whenever I hear Santa is coming I automatically think of Will Ferrell dressed like a giant elf screaming in the middle of a store! telling our cute kiddos at work is pretty similar, other than they are little elves and WAY cuter! HAHA anyway.. Prepare yourselves  for cuteness overload!! Our centers were lucky enough to have Mr. & Mrs. Claus stop by this week! The kids were all sorts of worried when they didn't see any reindeer, luckily Santa assured them they were at home resting up for the big day! As usual I learned a couple lessons while Santa was visiting! First: Every child in the building WILL have to go potty at LEAST 3 times while he's there just so they can catch of glimpse of the man! Second: Ages 1-11 months and ages 4-6 LOVE the jolly couple! However ages 1-3 were NOT fans! Talk about stranger danger! Third: You do Not, I repeat do NOT come between a child and his or her candy cane!!! Either they will kill you with a look of death or you will get the talk from Miss Melanie because by golly "its the holidays! Why cant they have a candy cane?!" Hopefully you keep my lessons in mind, I share these for your own safety! (LOL) for those that didn't get a chance to see Santa this week or just need something fun to do with the fam this weekend, here is a list of a few places to go see Santa before the big day!

SNOW DAY!!!

As most of you know our 9th street center was out of operation today! We had an electrical difficulty day A.K.A Snow Day!! Some of us had our guilt free day off kid free as well, ( not me of course) so I decided to google adult snow day... HELARIOUS!!! Eat a meal slowly, watch a show/movie UNITERUPTED, craft WITHOUT sharing your paper! Random stuff only a mother would appreciate doing! I literally don't know what its like to do any of those things! What would you do on a workless, kid less, snow day??! Feel free to leave me and the others a few ideas. As for tomorrow, its business as usual. back to our lovely center with our amazing kiddos! See ya then!

All ABOARD!!

Super fun weekend for our Children's Classic family! We headed  to the north pole Saturday afternoon on none other than the polar express. Of course the conductor was played by yours truly! We had a great lunch, played some fun games, and enjoyed awesome conversation with co workers whom we may not get to see all of the time. While I was driving to the train station and even as the staff came in and saw my costume I had some smiles, snickers, and laughs. At first I thought it was just a fun way to have a staff party, take a load off, and enjoy each others company. Some may have thought it was silly but as the party was coming to a close and Mr. and Mrs. clause joined us  I realized the purpose of the theme for this years party. In some ways it was like the other years but in some ways it was different, and so much more! For the first time in all the years I've attended these parties I left with warmth in my heart and a lesson learned. As the staff entered I stamped there ticket and put a bell around their neck. Nobody really knew what the bell was for and to be honest neither did I. But.. when Santa came and was supposed to give out the first gift, it hit me! I already gave it, the bells as they came in! But they weren't just bells, they were a symbol and a reminder to always believe!!  In the story the little boy asked for a silver bell from Santa's sleigh and that wish was granted. He said it made the most beautiful sound he'd ever heard. Through the years, even when no one else could hear it, he used those bells to remind him of that night and the experience he had. I believe if we use our bells we will see beauty, light, and good in our world. What better gift could we receive for Christmas? I would like to thank our FABULOUS administration for this party/ gift! I am so grateful to work for the people and company I do, with the ladies I love! May this holiday season bring you and your family beauty, joy, and love!

Get them ready for thanksgiving and see what they are grateful for! We asked some kids around the center what they were grateful for and this is what they said:
